Deploy WiFi Location Monitor in multiple venues using 1 node for each venue

In this page you can find the possible configurations when it comes to install the nodes in multiple venues using 1 node for each venue. You can have:
  • 1 single site for the entire project, all the nodes on 1 level, all the nodes inside 1 Cloudtrax account.
    • PRO: it is possible to check the status of all the nodes very quickly by looking at 1 Accuware site, 1 Accuware level and 1 Cloudtrax network.
    • POTENTIAL CONS: all the nodes will share the same Cloudtrax settings. If there are no plans to customize the Cloudtrax settings for each venue then you are fine and you should choose this configuration.
  • 1 single site for the entire project, each node on a specific level, all the nodes inside 1 Cloudtrax account.
    • PRO: it is possible to check the status of all the nodes very quickly by looking at 1 Accuware site and 1 Cloudtrax network.
    • POTENTIAL CONS: all the nodes will share the same Cloudtrax settings. If there are no plans to customize the Cloudtrax settings for each venue then you are fine and you should choose this configuration.

    • CONS: it is necessary to check the network status of each node by looking at its Cloudtrax network.

    • CONS: you have to check the status of the each node by looking at its Accuware site and its Cloudtrax network.
NOTES: it must be kept in mind that:
  • nodes on the same level (or on different levels) can be placed in any virtual location inside the Accuware dashboard and inside the Cloudtrax dashboard.
  • you can collect the information regarding the proximity/distance of all the Wi-Fi devices with respect to the nodes by analyzing the RSS values detected by Wi-Fi Location Monitor. The raw data regarding the proximity/distance of the WiFi device with respect to the nodes can be retrieved in REAL-TIME by calling every 5 seconds this API and looking at the RSS field of the JSON returned or HISTORICALLY by downloading every day the CSV daily reports and looking the sixth and seventh fields of each line of the CSV files. The location info (lat and long) provided by the Accuware API or CSV service should not be taken into account because won’t be accurate. More info inside this page.
  • 1 CSV file is generated daily for each site.
  • The sites are created by the Accuware team (there is not an API call to create the sites).
  • There is an API call to create additional levels.
